Corkirk: Demons of the Mist
All characters are from the village of Corkirk, they have grown up here from a relatively young age at the least. There isn't a huge martial calling in the village, so you might have been a hunter, or performed other labor to warrant your martial proficiency, though this isn't required.
We will be using the standard ability score generation, roll 4d6, keep the highest three. Do this six times total and assign as desired. Alternatively you may select to use the standard array of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 if you do not appreciate the randomness of the standard method.
* Arcane classes are likely to draw suspicion or even ire from those ignorant of the arcane arts.
The common races are just that, every day sights. Though some communities may hold some in greater or lesser esteem than the others, the sight of one is unlikely to be remarked on.
Uncommon races are unusual, though not to the extent that there is any outright hostility or suspicion. The half-elves and half-orcs are subject to a degree of bigotry from both of their parent races, while gnomes are free of such for the most part, they are still different enough that they may be looked down upon.
Rare races are highly unusual, they stand out dramatically and may be the subject of suspicion or outright hostility based on their appearance alone.
